Not bad!
Its cool but there is one issue about it, its not fully debugged. The collision detection with the level is very buggy and choppy. You should have used a tile engine for this to make it run better. I got stuck in a wall and could not do anything anymore. You should really fix these bugs, the character should not even be able to move if there is an obstacle in the way. So try to hittest for the characters position with the velocity added to prevent getting stuck.
